What a cute fellow. I might get lucky and identify this fellow, looks a bit like Calliteara farenoides.

Bees at work
There were several honey bees collecting pollen on this salvia today. It's a very special cultivar and the bees seem to love it.

More fungi
Many thanks to Ray of the Sydney Fungal Studies Group for identifying Ganoderma applanatum for me which I photographed in a Pymble garden this week. I'm sure I had seen this fungi before, its quite common however its been distorted which made making a positive id difficult. Interestingly is odd that such a common fungi was missing from by field guide.

Beware Telstra internet
All we did was realise that a lot of our friends were getting the same service for a lot less. We now pay the same but the service slowed with constant outages during peak times. Our friends don't have the same problems. My advice, change providers not negotiate a new rate as they will punish you. We now pay a premium for a basic service that is not much better then dial up.

Another fabulous fungi
Taken again at Lane Cove National Park, could be Ramaria lorithamnus! Sorry to have posted such a rough photo but I've not seen anything like it before.
